Wind energy is our primary focus. Our institute is home to more than 250 employees and students from over 30 countries pursuing careers in applied research and development. We achieve this with a combination of an internationally unique testing infrastructure and extensive methods expertise in the fields of the reliability and validation of wind turbines.

»COMPONENT TESTING ROTOR BLADES«
You are involved in many exciting topics, such as modelling and transient analysis with Ansys APDL / Workbench. In addition, you perform calculations of damage equivalent loads and optimize the test setup as well as the detailed test design. You have a good knowledge of FEM and structural mechanics plus basic knowledge of a programming language? You are familiar with Ansys APDL or Workbench? Great, then you are the perfect match for us.
»FATIGUE INDUCED BY PEELING STRESSES«
To be up-to-date with the state of art, you firstly do literature research. You also work closely on a research project and can thus directly apply the knowledge you have gained. You identify transferable standards and develop a testing concept. In addition, you perform tests and prove the concept. Do you bring knowledge in the mechanical testing of materials? You even got some experience in dealing with fibre composites? Then take the opportunity and send us your application!
»IN-LINE QS IN BLADE PRODUCTION«
Also in this research project, literature research belongs to your area of responsibilities. These allow you to identify suitable sensors and to design the measuring technology and the manufacturing concept. You will also be working on pilot-scale testing and a concept for industrial-scale transfer. You have knowledge in the production of fibre composites and in materials chemistry? Then we need your support!
Remuneration according to the federal government guidelines for intern salaries.
The working time of 39 hours per week in case of an internship.
The position is initially limited for 3 months.
In case of identical qualifications, preference will be given to severely disabled candidates.
